This was my second major family biography and was a referral from another customer, scanned over 3,000 35mm slides, |
|
|
a significant amount of image editing was required, final production added titles and some of Paul's favorite music. Epic. |

| Family Biography |
Joan and Lee |
My first major project, comprised of scanning over 1,000 35MM slides and adding music/titles. They had some amazing photos taken |
|
|
in and around their mountain cabin that they built themselves. |
| Historic Yacht Biography |
Martine |
Started out being a video version of an existing scrapbook, ended up being just short of Lawrence of Arabia! Shot several hours of on location interviews; hundreds of photos from an existing photo book, integrated additional graphics, titles and more into a 1.5 hour documentary on a classic yacht. |
| VHS video conversion |
Janice |
Encoded an important business marketing tape from VHS to QuickTime |
| VHS video conversion |
Jeff |
Encoded multiple VHS and VHS-C video tapes for Jeff and also trained him how to edit footage so he could reduce it to a manageable amount (originally over 12 hours) |
| DV tape conversion |
Nanja |
Encoded several mini-DV tapes to DV so they could, again, watch and share their footage. This is a good example of how something that appears simple, getting digital tape footage on to a DVD--should easy--but in fact in many cases is not. |
| 8mm Film conversion |
Joan |
Scanned over 35 reels of regular 8mm film to DVD. This was the first time she'd seen much of this footage--some amazing footage now safely released from shoe box purgatory. |
| 8mm Film conversion |
Dick |
Converted over 3,000 feet of film to DVD. This was a major film conversion project! |
| 8mm Film conversion |
Pat |
Converted several rolls of film to DVD. In this case, I sent this job out for the encoding which utilized a frame by frame approach, which is more expensive but very high quality. |
|
|
I produced the actual DVD itself (added music, menus, etc.) but we do offer this service and are looking at bringing this service in-house if there is demand for it. |
| Family Travel Video |
Peter |
This turned out to be a true documentary film. Content consisted of a dozen Hi8mm video tapes, several photos albums, and scores of photo prints. |
|
|
The result was one of my favorite to this day: a 1.5 hour documentary about a family's trip with their 3 children sailing well over half way around the world. Awesome. |
| On-site video training |
Dick |
Met Dick at a two-day photo/video slideshow training class I conducted at local senior center. Did some follow up training with him to help him capture |
|
|
numerous 8mm travel tapes he had and edit them down to a manageable amount and burn them to DVD so he could watch and share them. Great guy. |
| On-site video training |
Senior Center Darlene & Stan |
Conducted a two day class instructing savvy seniors on how to get their photos and video on to DVD--making their memories eminently more sharable (and safe!) |
| Corporate training video |
Mark |
One of my first corporate jobs, conducted a two-camera shoot at a chiropractor's office and filmed his client orientation, then developed it into a comprehensive video tutorial covering stretching, etc. Shot, edited and produced entire production, also burned several hundred DVDs so Mark could give them to his new and existing clients. |
